Important Notice: FEC Rate Changes on VAST Satellite TV
Recent changes to the FEC rate on VAST Satellite TV broadcasts have affected some Humax HDR-1003S satellite receivers.
If your receiver is missing channels, please perform a Factory Reset by following these steps:
Factory Reset Instructions
- Press MENU on your remote to open the settings menu.
- Use the DOWN button to navigate to SETTINGS, then press OK.
- Select INSTALLATION and enter the PIN: 1234.
- Choose FACTORY DEFAULT.
- When prompted, select YES to reset all values.
- Enter the PIN: 1234 again.
- Wait for the Humax to restart.
- Select your Region and press OK.
- On the Display page, select NEXT.
- On the Search Channels page, ensure Automatic Search is selected, then press NEXT.
- Select SEARCH and wait 5-10 minutes for the scan to complete.
- Press SAVE, then FINISH.
Your channels should now be restored.

Setup Instructions

When the Humax displays “Finding Home Transponder” on startup, press STOP.

In the Installation (Fixed Antenna) Menu, select Search Channels.

Press the Down button to highlight Transponder 12567 MHz (A) and press OK.

Select User Define.
Update the following settings:

Frequency: 12367
-
Polarisation: Vertical
-
Symbol Rate: 3000
-
Transmission: DVB-S2
-
Modulation: 8PSK
-
FEC: 2/3
When finished, the Strength (orange) and Quality (green) bars should both be above 80%.

Press OK.

Press SEARCH.
Wait a few minutes for the channels to scan and load.
